There is a marriage in the next house and they have decorated the house with colored lights. The view through my window looked amazing and I decided to capture it and this was the result
How did I take this photograph ?
- First of all, you need a prime lens. I used a Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D lens. Its only at focal length 2.8 or below you start getting these beautiful round bubble shapes. So if you have kit lens and nothing else, I can just wish you all the best and nothing more
- Focus on the grill and make the lights in the background out of focus
- Secondly, either use aperture or manual mode. In auto mode, the camera reads a different reading each time and you would not get consistent results
- All the lights in the room were switched off so that the grill on the window will have a silhouette effect
