Prologue
I was about to have my dinner when this guest came to my home. I was irritated at first. But then he fluttered around a lot and finally found a quiet place in my bedroom. I was about to have dinner, but then I thought why don’t I click a couple of photographs ? Photo session went for an hour as evident from the number of shots taken (see screenshot from lightroom, below )
Although the initial shots I tried for a long exposure shot ( obviously because of lack of light – butterfly perched on the bottom of my fan) Strangely during the whole time, the butterfly did not move at all. With just the light from the tube light, the colors looked pretty dull ( even though some of the white balance settings and the shots thereof looked a little promising), until I introduced flash gun. Different setup gave different effects ( flash was kept at maximum and fired directly at the target), until this last shot captured my imagination.
As always, once the shooting session was over, the butterfly simply vanished.
