It has been a while I had the picture of a silhouette girl at the door. I had attempted this before, but it did not come as expected. But this time, the light from outside was perfect to render the correct shadows. The photo was taken in the afternoon with bright sunlight outside to get some really dark shadows.
Post processing
- Image was converted to grey scale and the overall brightness and contrast was increased
- The reflection on the floor was selected separately and the contrast was still increased. This gave the floor a mirror like shining
- Finally all the outside details outside the door was erased out by painting white
- And finally, color correcting was done by bringing the yellow all the way to 0. This gave the picture a yellow tint which was exactly what I had in mind
