I had been checking the group strobist in flickr for sometime and even checked the price of SB-910 in flipkart and the price was 32,000Rs as of today. It’s been sometime I have been thinking of off camera flash and the high cost involved in procuring one, made me dream about the day I will start using off camera flash, until today ! Note,For a creative photographer, off camera flash is simply invaluable, because it allows you to control light in ways you have never imagined before

I was reading about off cameras flash and came across the term dumb optical slave, that is when the flash on your camera fires, the off camera flash also fires. Then somewhere else I read, it is also called as optical slave with for digital camera ! I was like Bingo! Because I had kept the specification for my flash open the adjacent tab, and it clearly stated by Di600 supported SD – Slave Digital

I immediately took the flash off the camera, set it to SD and in the camera, I swithced on the flash and set to manul and fired the flash and the external flash also fired. I was shocked. It became one of the happies moments in my recent past.

I set it up on the tripod with the swivel head, put an umbrella, setup the guitar and fired shots, one after the other. Suddenly you start seeing things in a totally different way. This became one of the happiest day of my life, this is my home, because, this is where my dreams come true
