Took a rick to Kalinga Road, next to LIC building – 100 meters from Corporation circle. Reached at 8:30 PM and waited for the bus to Hosur. Got a mini bus at 8:55 PM ( 40 Rs). Reached Housr bus stand at 10:30 PM. Experienced traffic within the city ( Bangalore ) Once we crossed Electronic city, it was a very smooth ride. Sri came at 10:45 and we boarded the bus to Krishnagiri at 10:55 PM ( 31 Rs) ( we missed a direct bus to thiruvannamalai a few minutes back )

It was a normal bus, very less space in between the seats. But the road was totally awesome. It was a 6 lane smooth highway, all the way till Krishna giri. We covered almost 52 kilometers in 50 minutes.  The bus stand is off the highway and we waited for 10 minutes before we boarded the bus to Pondicherry( 95 Rs). It was a sleeper bus with very comfortable seats. But unfortunately the roads were bad, I mean it was almost like there was no road at all. Lot of potholes and muddy route with lot of dust. Thanks to the good seats, by back was not shattered.  We boarded the bus at 11:00 PM and reached thiruvannamalai at 3:15 AM. Since it was not an actual stop, we had to know where we have to get down.

Once we got down, we took an auto ( after a little bargain ) and fixed for Rs 60, for our drop to the kovil ( temple ) Once we reached the entrance of the temple, my friend lighted a lamp in front of the temple and began our walk. The spiritual experience cannot be compared to anything that I experience in the recent past. The hills were lit with moonlight and temples had a beautiful feel which cannot be expressed.

As planned we covered 15 kilometers in 4.5 hours ( Excluding the 1/2 hour it took for breakfast ). 9:30 AM we boarded the bus back to Bangalore( 150 Rs) and I reached Bangalore ( Town hall ) at 3:30 PM. Stops were given at bomanahalli and madiwala
