A juice glass and its shadow on the wall. Both the glass containing the juice and shadow cast on the wall looks so beautiful, almost like a movie projected on the screen from the movie theater projector.
Photo setup
- I started with idea of ice floating in a glass of water. Tried a a few shots but it did not turn out to be as expected. I mean, the water looked so plain and without any effect
- Tried an over the top, close up ( macro ) shot and it turned out to be well ( see the post – Face in the ice )
- Plain water looked so boring so I thought I would add some color to it. Firstly I added wine, and then tomato sauce. All of them dissolved quickly and did not give me the texture I was looking for
- As per the suggestion from my friend, I added food color. Bingo ! That was the turning point
- I got a crimson red, orange and dark red composition, the thing I was exactly looking for
- I put a hand held torch as the light source and the colors looked good
- Took several photos with that ( you can find them in the ‘related images’ section )
- I had to go out and left the setup as it is including the torch which I had forgot to switch off
- Then accidentally the torch turned over and when I came back, I saw this beautiful image on the wall of the glass and juice and it looked beautiful
- Tried a few angles and finally got the image I was looking for
